Summer Class

I wish I had taken more summer classes. Now that I am a senior, I am both extremely ready to be done and extremely frightened about graduating. While I am mostly ready to be done, I keep thinking about how my sanity would have benefitted if I had taken more summer classes. I get very busy with rehearsal and school so the last thing I ever want to do is a paper for a general education class. I truly love keeping busy, but sometimes I turn into a huge worrywart. Had I taken more summer classes, specifically general education ones, I really think I would have enjoyed myself more during the school year. Not that I do not enjoy myself when I am at school, but I guarantee I would have tried a little harder in some classes if I had not had such a full schedule. Summer classes are great! I am really happy to be taking one now even though it is my final summer as a student, unless of course I go to graduate school. I believe I would have even tried to graduate earlier if I had gotten more

What Do You Meme?

I love memes. Honestly, that is probably why I am on social media more than I used to be because there are so many great memes on my feed. I am sure a lot of people I know would not use “great” to describe memes on their Facebook feed, but alas, I love humor so naturally, I laugh at everything. Half of them are incredibly ridiculous and stupid, but I soak up the wit. The stuff that is on the Internet can be absurd, but the good memes always find a way to make me giggle. Some people truly despise them and I do not understand why! Sure, they can be silly, but isn’t life a little silly sometimes? I mean if you are going to use social media, the memes are going to be unavoidable so you might as well join in on it and enjoy them. Truthfully, I feel like I am a walking meme sometimes because my life can be an absolute joke. Oh well, I laugh it up. I have always wondered if utilizing memes for businesses on social media would be appropriate. The more I think about it, the more on the

Yay For Summer Health

Being a college student in the summer and not having a specific schedule makes it easier for me to become lazy. I love school because it keeps me super busy and on track, especially health wise. With several dance classes and rehearsals, I love how active my major can be, but when summer hits and I am not in a show or going to dance class, I feel like quite the slacker. Recently, I have picked up running to try and stay in shape before school starts again. I even bought an app to help me get started. This is the first app I have ever actually paid money for so I am hoping it works. The Green Monster has been a great friend to me and I have gotten a chance to admire how beautiful ONU’s campus really is. We are so lucky to have a campus filled with trees! For me, it also becomes easier to eat worse in the summer because I feel like I am constantly going out to eat with my friends. This summer has been a little different though because I am so poor. The older I have gotten, the m

Finstagram Should Vanish

“A picture is worth a thousand words,” and I totally agree. I love Instagram. I love looking at pictures and I love posting pictures. Besides Instagram being my favorite platform in general, I believe it is a great tool for not only personal purposes, but business purposes as well. You are able to market yourself in such a creative way. There are several social media fads that come and go, but the worst has got to be what is called, “Finstagram,” otherwise known as, fake Instagram. I hate it and I have seen awful things come from it. “Finsta” is a way to create another Instagram profile that is supposedly for posting random pictures, videos, and long captions where you can be as ruthless as you want; essentially, a diary. So, in my opinion, why not just get a diary? Sure, they can be hilarious. I have friends that have them and they go wild with their posts, (mainly posts they only want a select group of followers to see). Usually set on private, these “Finsta” users go as far as
